The Information Technology Law Blog and Podcast by Professor Michael Scott

About This Site

It seems like everyone in the technology law community is or is planning to host their own blog. Most are extremely useful. Many provide up-to-the minute information on the latest developments and are extremely useful. Others provide more reflective discussions of various legal issues.

My blog does not have a specific goal other than to share some thoughts from me and from others on the development of technology law — both in the legal practice as well as within the law school teaching community.

I don’t intend to post materials daily or at any particular interval. Generally, my postings will result from a discussion I have had with someone — a student, professor, practitioner, my kids, or former clients — on an issue that I think deserves broader attention. Other times, it will spin off of some news item that I have read.

This blog will also provide me with an opportunity to keep up with my many friends and colleagues around the world whom I don’t have the opportunity to see as often as I used to when I was in private practices.

For shorter, more frequent messages, I use a Twitter account. Take a look. If you like it, you can follow me. Each time a new entry is posted on this blog, a tweet is sent to all of my followers.
